Religion - The work of the greatest fiction writers.

From an average Joe to Barrack Obama, lives are influenced all over the world by religion. No better proof of this can be found in the most powerfull country in the world, America. People live their lives and people lose their lives by the religion they believe in and because of the religion they believe in. The 9/11 attack, the Holocaust, suicide bombings, Mayan sacrifices - millions of lives lost and all because of the works of writers with great imaginations!

Ancient Greeks believed there was 12 main gods, the 12 Olympians, and countless minor gods. Each god had it's uses. Prayers and sacrifices were made to individual gods for safe journeys, good harvests, help during battles, etc. Their religious beliefs now fall under the category of 'Greek Mythology'. Myth - "A fictitious story, person, or thing". The vast majority of people today would laugh at what the ancient Greeks believed, my prediction is that in 2,000 years time our own religious beliefs will be mocked and will fall under the category of 'Mythology'. Christianity, Muslim, Hinduism, in fact all the religions all over the world - all no more believable than the 12 Olympians ruling the world from Mount Olympus.
